First, load two standard microplates through the top opening. Since the sealed plates are placed vertically, surface tension keeps the samples secure—so you don’t have to worry about spills. Once you close the lid, the rotor quickly accelerates to 2,500 rpm. Then, when you press the open button, the friction brake engages and brings the rotor to an immediate stop. Finally, for temperature-sensitive applications, you can also use the Plate Spinner in a cold room if needed.
